Coiled Tubing Unit Power Pack

Functions of Power Pack
Produce hydraulic power and pneumatic power.
Power is transmitted to different components of CTU to perform their respective functions thru a system of hosed and valves etc.
Almost 90% working of CTU is based on hadraulic power.
Remaining 10% functions are performed using pneumatic power.

Structure and Working of Power Pack
Composed of diesel engine.
Converts chemical energy into mechanical energy of flywheel.
Engine may be Detroit or Caterpillar

Hydraulic System
Hydraulic system is the core of Power Pack.
Function of hydraulic system is to produce and distribute hydraulic power to different CTU components.
Mechanical energy of engine flywheel is then provided to 04 hydraulic pumps thru gear box.
Hydraulic pumps then convert this mechanical energy into hydraulic energy.
Hydraulic energy is then transmitted to different CTU components thru hoses and valves to perform their function.
