A hydraulic oil leak caused the HPU reservoir on a NOV 1625 UDBE Drawworks to lose oil, requiring a complete inspection of the Service Brake system.
In this maintenance job, we:
- Diagnosed the hydraulic oil leak
- Identified an extruded O-ring inside the Service Brake Cylinder
- Replaced the Service Cylinder and the damaged Bleeder Valve
- Bled the hydraulic system
- Performed the grease-out adjustment using NOV Special Disc Brake Grease (P/N 7806084)
- Set and verified the brake pad-to-disc running clearance according to the NOV service manual
- Completed the final hydraulic function test to confirm proper piston movement and return spring operation
