Semi-finished Tricone Drill Bit

It is a bit that has completed the initial stages of manufacturing but is not yet ready for field use. The process begins with forging or casting the steel body, followed by precision machining to shape the legs, cut fluid channels, and prepare the bearing pockets. Cones are manufactured separately, fitted with milled teeth or tungsten carbide inserts, and mounted onto the legs with bearings. The legs are then welded to the body. After assembly, the bit undergoes inspection and non-destructive testing. In the final stage, hardfacing is applied, nozzles are installed, and the bit is cleaned, coated, and marked before packaging for delivery.
